The AshaHouse is a Christian orphanage in New Delhi India. Outside the walls of AshaHouse is a land of thousands of false gods. But at AshaHouse, the children are taught about the One and only God who paid for the sins of the world, Jesus Christ.
As you can imagine, it is rather expensive to run an orphanage. Regular expenses such as food, shelter, clothing, school (because school is not free in India) are ongoing. Occasional medical expenses and of course infrastructure repairs are needed to maintain the facility. Fortunately, the American dollar goes a long way in India (at the moment) and it takes about $105/month to support one child. This doesn't mean we need each donor to give $105; some will give more and some will give less as the Lord leads, but what it does mean is that as a donor makes a selection of a child or staff member (sponsor need), we must keep the sponsor need available for sponsorship until the $105 figure is reached.
If you are interested in meeting a one-time need, please look at the category labeled "Needs." Here we will communicate emergency or infrastructure needs that don't necessarily reoccur.
We've done all we can do to make the site work as efficiently as possible, however, if you find a discrepancy or even a location where a sponsor need is called a "product," please let me know and we'll correct the situation as quickly as possible. Please contact mr.rich.baker@gmail.com
